Wrapping shawl - fringe care

Post

How to care for the fringes on your Wrapping Shawl

Hand-tied fringes give your shawl its unique character. Because of their length, they may naturally tangle during use or washing. We have two tried-and-tested care options, depending on the final look you prefer.

The easy-care option: twisting the fringes permanently

You can twist or braid the fringes in a simple way. This not only gives them a new, beautiful look, but most importantly helps prevent tangling — including during washing.

Once twisted, the fringes stay in this form permanently and no longer require any extra attention.

The classic option: loose fringes

If you prefer to keep the fringes loose, we recommend gently detangling them with your fingers or a comb directly before washing and again just after taking the shawl out of the water, while the fringes are still damp.

Tip

Whichever option you choose, after each wash it is worth giving the shawl a strong shake before hanging it to dry. This helps the fibres and fringes naturally straighten out.

With just a few simple steps, your shawl will stay beautiful and serve you for a long time.
